Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal, and charitable organizations. It originated from the traditions of medieval stonemasons who built cathedrals and castles and aims to make good men better through the development of personal integrity, friendship, respect, and charity and it unites men of good character. The first grand lodge was established in England in 1717 based on these principles.
Integrity– Honesty, trustworthiness, honour, reliability.
Friendship- Freemasonry gives members many opportunities to make a wide circle of friends for life who share common interests and values.
Respect- Freemasonry has respected the beliefs of its members, it promotes an environment where diversity is valued. It is a space where different beliefs and backgrounds converge, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity, tolerance, and harmony.
Charity- Whether participating in events, fundraising for a charitable cause, or volunteering for a public or community organisation, service is at the very heart of Freemasonry. Our members make valuable contributions by donating time, resource, and skills.
